SocialProof gives you multiple ways to collect verified testimonials from your customers. Here's every method, and when to use each one.

Method 1: Email a customer directly from the dashboard

The fastest way to get your first testimonial is to email a happy customer directly from your SocialProof dashboard.

  1. Go to Testimonials → Request testimonial
  2. Enter the customer's email (required) and name (optional)
  3. Choose which widget to link them to (if you have multiple)
  4. Add a personal note — strongly recommended
  5. Click Send request

SocialProof sends a branded email with a direct link to your collection form. The customer clicks, fills it out in under 2 minutes, and submits.

What to write in the personal note

"Hi [Name], it was such a pleasure working with you on [project]. Your testimonial would really help other [clients/customers] know what to expect. Takes 2 minutes — I really appreciate it."

💡 Tip: Personal notes get 3x more responses than blank requests. Always add one — even a single sentence makes a huge difference.
